Hi - I have an 06 Limited Explorer and every 3 to 6 months the steering wheel goes off center and I need to have an alignment done to correct it. When the truck was still under warranty, my local dealership would cover the alignment as a warranty item but they never could pin point what exactly was causing it.

Now I'm at 85K miles and still have this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

I know that my local Firestone has a lifetime alignment offer for around $140. For less than the cost of 2 full alignments (?), you at least won't be paying more each time. I recommend you find such a place, that is also a full-service garage.

This won't directly fix your problem. However, once you purchase such a thing, and you are coming in every 3-6 months, it will be in their best interest to find out what the problem is (to keep you from using the lifetime alignment so much).

Saving money is usually the best incentive for the consumer, and the shop.
