When I switch into reverse, the stereo always cuts off. Sometimes, it will come back on, but usually I have to switch into drive to get it back. Any ideas?

PS: what rims will fit an 01' Sport Trac 2wd?

is your stereo stock or aftermarket?

It's a stock escape stereo with built in 6 CD changer. Though it still happened with the stock ST one.

well that's weird, I thought maybe it was aftermarket and the ground was hooked to the reverse signal...so when the truck is put into reverse...there's no ground.

Do the speakers cut out or the power to the stereo cut out? Has the harness been modified/fixed or something?
