Stiff Steering?

Has anyone had symptoms of stiff steering especially when cold? I seem to have that problem and its not the front end. I'm pretty sure it may be the rack and pinion. Anyone had this? Any easy cures besides a new rack?
P.S. fluid is full.

I just had to have mine replaced at 104,000. They did; rack & pinoin, power steering pump, belt tensioner, one O2 sencor & differential oil change. Parts & labor $637. The rack & pinion they put in was bad also & two weeks later they put in a new one which seems good. I probably should have an alignment now.
Some people seem to have problems only when its cold. Mine was all the time. I hope its the last thing for a while.
