Ok so i got the p1151 code, replaced both 02 senors.. Cleared codes went through drive cycle and code is back, What now? Also i noticed a few plastic lines that are unplugged, don't seem to have any suction or anything but i was curious about them, They're both coming from a round ball type reservoir that sits behind the front bumper on the passenger side.. I need to get my car through emissions and i can't with this stupid code, Please help me out, two new 02 sensors same code, im going to clean the mass airflow sensor now..

Also.. this is the part i was talking about.. What in the world is this? it was not connected to anything, could this be a problem?

thats part of the emissions or vacuum system or both .i have seen those before .it belongs on the truck .

could be a vacuum boost .

which 2 sensors did you replace?there should be 1 before the cat and 1 after the cat .those would be the ones i would suspect .

i got that same code after gutting my cat on my ford van .

just erase the code ,then take the thing in for inspection .that code should only get thrown after 200 miles .i am going to do the same thing with my van when its time for inspection .mine throws that code after i gutted the cat because the engine expects certain readings when the cat is working and now i dont have one so i get the code .drives just fine though .

that a vacuum storage bulb... its for the climate controls. Your codes have likely nothing to do with your sensors.... they are usually an indication that those sensors have detected an "unacceptable condition" in your system. As you have found, replacing the sensor(s) didn't do much... at least now you have "clean sensors"... :-) Likely issue you have is a leak as in perhaps a vacuum leak as in maybe those "unplugged" lines are letting in air where they shouldn't be.... :-) That would be the first place to look/try. Next place is the general intake system of your vehicle... looking for air leaks.

Ok that "Vacuum storage bulb" wasn't plugged to anything so me and my cousin suspected the guy before me hooked it up wrong? so we did it ourselves and now the heater only blows through the top vents, I replaced both side upper 02 sensors before the cats, And yes now i know they're good, so my next guess is vacuum leak? hopefully its just that storage bulb that's causing my "Unacceptable driving condition" If not i'll check for leaks tomorrow, I cleared the code so with this bulb hooked up we'll see if it comes back.. I'm wondering if i should keep it the way it is for now even with the heater issue just to see if it stops my code? I'll let you guys know for sure, One more question.. Should i try the "spray vacuum lines with carb cleaner" trick to spot my leak? and yes i'll try on a cool engine.

As budwich pointed out, that is a vacuum storage device that is associated with your HVAC system. Some of the internal HVAC doors are controlled by vacuum; without this hooked up correctly, changes in engine vacuum - like when you accelerate - will cause the air flow to move to different vents. The P1151 codes indicates a lean condition; this is often caused by unmetered air entering the intake. One source of "unmetered air" could be the vacuum port on the engine this ball is supposed to be connected to. Check and make sure that it is connected correctly - the fact that your getting airflow out of the defrost vents only indicates that it is not. Defrost is the "default" airflow condition for the HVAC system.

Ok so here's where i'm at, Since my car failed the "not ready" test more then twice here in Arizona, it must be taken to a inspection type place, So i took my car all the way there with no check engine light and its "Ready" what that means? idk cause on my way home my check engine light came back on, now it wont pass for sure, sooo how was the computer ready with no check engine light?, so here's what i'm thinking, on the piece of paper i received saying "ready" it said 02 sensors - Ready. Everything was ready BUT the "EVAP system" and "catalyst" soo maybe on the ride home one of those became ready and threw a code? I's so lost with this thing, Also i'm going to look into getting that "Storage Vacuum" set up the right way, One more bit of history on the car..

The guy i got it the light came on i text the guy i got it from he said "I put a bottle of gas cleaner to an almost empty tank.. maybe that's what happened"

Anyway that's where i'm at.. any advice is appreciated

p.s. the code is still the same P1151

One more update, I got that Storage Vacuum hooked up with the heater working great, Also one more line was unplugged and had a screw in it, I'm 90% sure it went into the Heater Control Valve, it's a grey line.. Could this make a difference?

One more thing I didn't do till now, turned my car on while having the scanner plugged in, looks like all the sensors are flucuating except bank 2 Sensor 1.. It's 0.000 while all other are moving.. What would cause that?

a lean condition :-) which I think is what the code is telling you... maybe

further.... IF you still have the old sensor(s) that you replaced. You could try swapping them in and see if things change (doubtful). check the wiring along the way back towards the motor especially near any exhaust. Look for intake leaks on that side of the engine. Measure the voltage on the heater leads going into the o2 sensor to ensure that it is heating ... which is a "requirement" to get the thing operating properly "quickly" otherwise you have to wait a "while" for normal exhaust heat to bring it to temperature to see if it starts switching (which will then be a likely clue of the issue).

Ok so i checked the wiring for the 02 and they look fine, Since you guys say the code is reading "Lean" i took off those red and green vacuum lines off and checked them, They're solid.. What next? Manifold gasket?
