I have a 95 Explorer 2X2, 4d, and a 97 Explorer 4X4, 4d. Its a long story, but I need to take the tires off my 97 and install those on the 95. Both vehicles are XLT's and both have the polished aluminum wheels that were common among XLT's during that period (the ones with the slots shaped like "tadpoles"). The wheels look to be identical -- are they? Can I just take the wheels off the 97 and put them on the 95? Is there any offset difference or mounting difference between the 4X4 wheels and the 2X2? Or between the years? They look the same, but I do not want to assume anything! Thanks for the info. Allen

They should bolt right up...explorers 1991-2001 had the same bolt pattern and general size. if you have 2 sets that look "identical" they are.
