On my daily commute to and from work here in Atlanta, I am constantly going and stopping. Lately, my 95 Explorer has started intermittently idling really low, almost to the point of cutting off at every other stop. It rights itself before cutting off, but as soon as I give it gas and then stop again, it happens. I've replaced the IAC valve, cleaned MAF sensor, replaced fuel filter, and Seafoamed the gas tank and intake. Do you think that my fuel injectors could be causing this? If so, any idea how I can correct it?

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

Jay

Is your truck downshifting when you come to a stop? If it's not, then it's idling down low because of this. Your transmission could be giving trouble. However, if it is downshifting with you, then it's not that at all. your injectors usually make the truck sputter and hesitate like it needs a tune up. So it doesn't sound like that at all. I hope this helps.

exactly, it sputters and hesitates, but it does downshift with me, so I doubt it's the transmission....I've got new plugs and wires though so what else could be causing the sputtering??

plugs and wires?
fuel filter

Is the a/c compressor running when it happens? If you turn the HVAC OFF, does it still do it? Trying to rule out bad compressor - if it is starting to seize, it will cause more strain on the engine which the IAC may not be able to compensate for. Another possibility is the throttle position sensor. There is a Zip-tie Mod thread you may want to look for.
