Hiya,

I have a 2002 explorer,
before I even came to this brake problem, for the first time today, the engine stayed running after the keys was taken from the ignition.

I left it running because I had just arrived to work and needed to go. So I called a friend to come check on it for me, well we check it out and and the engine was shut off when i came back out to it.

Now this module, box right below the brake booster. it has brake lines running into it, unsure of what it is called and is constantly running after the car is shut off.. so I disconnected the battery to not loose battery life, the abs light is on also...

But what is causing it to stay running? we tried restarting everything and checked fuses and wires... it is constantly staying running and sounds like its about to explode, maybe the break lines are dirty.. idk

but I didnt have much else time to work on it and I cant afford to not have a car right now. anyone know if this is a easy fix or needa replace that part?...

btw its a 2002 4door explorer, 2wd with the dohc v6 auto...
thought i might ask some experts...

puzzled... just why wont it stfu when I turn the car off lol???...
