I recently (yesterday) changed the door pin switch in the drivers door, many thanks to this forum. While the door ajar light and painfully annoying beep was ruining an otherwise peaceful commute, i would keep the interior light switch, the rotary, in the off position. New pin switch is in, no more door ajar, no noise, all good.
Last night i notice when i get out of the car, no mirror light. And interior lights do not shut off. So i play around with it for a little while and this is what happens:
With the rotary switch in the off position, car off, the lock button on driver door doesnt work. Keypad on driver door will open locks but not lock them. No mirror lights and interior lights are off. No lights on keypad either.
With rotary switch in on position, driver door lock button works, keypad locks and unlocks but only lights up for two seconds. Still no mirror lights and interior lights stay on until battery saver shuts them.
Its a riddle wrapped in a conundrum.
Any ideas?
