I have a '95 explorer. My battery seems to lose juice when I have my headlights on but only when I'm stopped. When i'm driving, it seems fine but when I stop at a light I can see the battery meter start to slowly decrease. The alternator was replaced in February. Could it be a bad alternator? I had 1 brake light out that I replaced. Any ideas?

Can you hook up a digital multimeter to the 12 volt and monitor it? The fact your battery meter starts to slowly decrease tells me the system is not charging correctly? I'd recommend doing a load test on the alternator & battery. It could very easily be a bad alternator, voltage regulator, etc.. Try to monitor the voltage with the key in the off position and when running. When running it should be above 12 volts.
