Ok driving down the road at 50 or better I sometimes get this crackling noise that drives me crazy.
It sounds like leaves in my blower box or something but that is not it because I turn off all the controls and that changes nothing.
The faster I go the worse it gets at times. Then sometimes it almost goes away.
My wife can't figure it out ,neither can my 14 year old grandson.
Almost seems to be quieter when we push on the windshield some but not sure.

I did have the radio out to replace it with one from a junk yard so I thought maybe the trim was making noises but that's not it. It's a high pitched cracking noise.
I'm just hoping somebody else has had this and figured it out.

it may nothing to do with it, but try unplugging/removing the radio. I had a Chrysler mini-van with the premium OE sound system. one day my wife came home from shopping and told me the car was making a terrible noise. it was so loud that people where looking at her as she drove by them. it turned out to be coming from one of the 10 speakers in the van. the radio was ON but the volume was turned all the way down, so she didn't even realize the radio was on. turning the radio OFF made the noise stop. I disconnected the offending speaker and no more noise.
