well, i have read all of the posts and think its my shift motor. my 97 got stuck in low once before, so i shut it off, and when it came back on, it was in auto (2wd) again. then a few days later, i got the 4wd lights flashing. so , like an idiot, i put in low yesterday, just to see if it was still not working right. now it stuck and nothing i do will get it out. i have ordered a new shift motor.
my question is: can i install this with the car in 4wd low, or will it cause me problems. should i keep the switch in 4wd low wen i start it up for thre 1st tim
