Stuck in 4wd lo

2002 Sporttrak, stuck in 4WD Low...

I got it... i unhooked the battery.... and it came out of 4 low...

My 2002 Ford Explorer Sportster is STUCK in 4WD LOW ??? I was told too turn the switch on the dash while moving slow but I didn't in gear instead of neutral?? I thought maybe too unhook my battery? But my luck is usually bad and I thought it's mechanical? What do you think?

I turned the switch while in Gear and I'm STUCK in 4low

Put in neutral, hold the brake down then switch. All this is in the owner's manual.

Thank-you!! I bought the vehicle in Manitoba Las Fall and there wasn't one in the vehicle, Probably missed placed somewhere down the line in the last 20 year's? I THANK YOU SINCERELY FOR YOUR REPLY!!! I APPRECIATE IT AND I'LL MAKE IT A POINT TOO STOP BUY THE SALVAGE YARD AND PICK ONE UP. I MIGHT BUY SOME RUNNING BOARDS WHILE I'M THERE? I ACTUALLY PREFER THE BAR STYLE !! I'M ACTUALLY VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE QUALITY OF MY 2002 SPORTSTER ON HOW SMOTH THE 4LITRE ENGINE RUNS!!! ALSO THE CARBON FIBER BOX I'VE NEVER SEEN BEFORE, ALSO THE FULL REAR WINDOW THAT SLIDES UP AND DOWN IS ANOTHER FEATURE I'VE NEVER BEFORE!!!! I HAD A WHEEL BEARING GO ON ME WHEN I FIRST BOUGHT AND CANADIAN TIRE REPAIRED IT FOR ME $405.00 I WAD BOTHERED WITH CANADIAN TIRES MECHANICAL TEAM DIDN'T GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TOO LOOSEN THE CLAMP FOR THE CV JOINT BOOT COVER AND RECLAMP THE BOOT BACK INTO PLACE WHILE THEY INSTALLED THE NEW WHEEL BEARING???? I'M NO MECHANICAL ENGINEER AND I HONESTLY THOUGHT THAT A LITTLE MORE PRIDE IN THEIR QUALITY OF EIRMM AND WORK ETHICS WOULD

Thank you for your reply and I hope that works??? I was in Gear while rolling slow and I switched it and didn't know it's neutral?!

Sometime on the sun visor there are instructions for 4x4.
