You haven't said what all you've tried, so I'll post this: make sure you are in nuetral or park, or if you have a manual transmission depress the clutch before trying to get out of (or into) 4wd low.
Turn the knob to other then 4x4 low and drive your truck in reveres fro about 5 to 10 feet. That will take you out of 4X4 low. At least that's how I do it!
