I am wanting to know about spark plug issues with 2002 xlt's with 4.0 l engine. I went to have plugs pulled and checked and they got to second plug and couldn't get it out, car only has 55k on it, I wanted to put anti seize on them so at 100k would be easy to replace. can these be taken out without major damage or recoring? Also, don't see much information on the timing belt replacement. Also, what should I expect to pay for fuel filter change. I don't do repairs myself - but like to keep up so I don't get ripped off. Thanks, Penny

Welcome to this forum! I've moved your thread to the stock 2002-2005 section. Try to get to the spark plugs in the most direct way possible so that you could get leverage on your ratchet or breaker bar. You lose power with extensions or universals.

No timing belts , its all chains.

Is the head on these 4.0 Alum? You may want to soak the plug with PB Plaster or Kroil, WD40 for a few days, might help loosen it up. They are only put in with about 19lbs of Torque, i would think worse case you could use a 6 pt socket and careful use of an impact gun you should get it out. Just gota be patient with it.
If that doesn't work its going to be a PIA as you might have to pull the head and take it somewhere. worse case i'd be tempted to leave it alone.

Yes you can use anit-Seize when you put them back, 19lbs.
