Stuck Tach

I just bought my first Explorer and I love it.But my tach is stuck on 3,100 RPM's??What's the deal?Oh yeah,92 XLT,4X4,4.0,Auto,3" body lift,31x11.50x15 MT's.Any help is greatly appreciated.--Hillbilly

did u ever find out what was wrong with the tach my 4.0 is doing it to it fixed it self and then did it again
