Stutters when taking off when not at running temp

my 92 explorer stutters when taking off from a stop, like a stop light when it is not at running temp. What could be the problem?

It only started doing it when it started getting colder outside.

Welcome to this forum! I've renamed your thread, and moved it into the stock 91-94 section. Did you check the ECT (engine coolant temperature) sensor, FPR (fuel pressure regulator) or the fuel pressure? Were the injectors ever cleaned or the fuel filter replaced?

i removed the temperature sensor and it is just sitting by it hole and a placed a mechanical gauge in its place because the one in my dash would never read right

i even replaced the ECT and my gauge still wouldnt read right.
