Stumble on acceleration

What could cause my ex to stumble right off the line fron about 10 -20 mph? It feels like I hit a patch of gravel for about 20 feet. I can feel the shake in the steering wheel. After about 20 mph it smooths out and runs fine. The idle is also fine. I've replaced the plugs and wires (autolite double plats and autolite professional series wires), fuel filter, air filter, recent Seafoam treatment (intake and fuel system) and cleaned the IAC and MAF. It definately feels like an engine issue, not a trans shudder. Could it be something with the EGR? Can someone also explain what the DPFE sensor does and could that be the culprit? A mechanic at the dealer drove it yesterday and mentioned something about that. Any help appreciated as always!

I have exactly the same issue. Changed spark plugs and fuel filter, cleaned MAF and IAC and throttle body. It still stumbles around 20 mph and the RPMs go from 2500 to 1500 for a couple seconds. After that, everything is okay and it runs and shifts smooth.

First of all are you getting any CELs?

What motor do you have?

The DPFE or Differential Pressure Feedback EGR sensor (DPFE) monitors upstream and downstream exhaust pressures. By comparing the differentialbetween the two pressures, PCM determines exactly the EGR flow rate during all driving conditions.

Further, have you scanned the O2 sensor(s) function?
