hey guys im sorta confused on how to wire subs to my amp. i am planning on bridging two channels on my Rockford Fosgate 600a4 amp. so the total amperage would be 300 watts comming out of the channel. i have the other two channels running my front components. The manual says that when briding two channels into one, there needs to be only a 4 ohm minimum.
Is is possible to have a dual voice coil 4 ohm driver hooked up to just show a 4 ohm load into the amp? i know if i parallel the dual voice coils it will result in a 2 ohm load and if i connect the voice coils in series it'll cause me to have an 8 ohm load, but i dont want an 8 ohm load because it'll be less power and not as good sounding am i right? what am i to do. i do not want to add two subs to my set up... Am i just better off with a Single Voice Coil 4 ohm subwoofer?
the subwoofer i am looking into is the Inifinity Kappa Perfect. i have heard many good things about this sub. i am runnning Inifinity Kappa Components up front and i am pleased. any other suggestions for the brand of sub?
