Sub Problem

Ok first i have a MTX thunderform Box with a MTX 10" 6000A sub in it.... powered by a 600W Sony Amp....i'v noticed that my sub has started to ping and doesn't pound like it used to? is it the voice coil going? it's getting on my nerves bad cuz i'm used to it hitting hard for one 10 and it starts pinging and i just wanta rip it out......I'v heard MTX subs have voice coil problems...but is it the Voice coil or is it blown? O BTW i have a standard cab ranger so one 10 hits hard in it lol...... thanks for the help ahead of time........And if it's blown or what ever.. i'm thinking of throwing a Punch II from RF in my Thunderform box how do u think that would sound?

I wouldnt go with a punch sub if you got 600 watts going to it. I would go for the HE2.

the problem i think i'm gonna run into is how long the magnet is.. i'm haveing a hard time figureing that out.... where do i messuar on the sub i have now i'd like to stick close to that same size becuase.. theres maybe a cm or 2 more of space to work with.... but how do i messuar that?

check online to see what the depth of the subs are and if they are deeper then measure to see if the depth is adaquate to fit in.
