I have 2 hx2 Fosgate 10'' subs.

One of the subs has stopped playing.
When i push down on the cone, it plays.
Also, when i took it out of the box, it played.
When i put it back in the box, it played.
Later, it stopped.

The cycle could go on and on again.

What could be causing this?

Check your amp wiring, sub wiring, RCAs, and the ones on your HU, basically recheck all your wiring. Unpluging and Pluging it back in....

I already checked the amp wiring / sub wiring.
Its wired in paralell.

It couldn't be the RCA's cuz when i push into the sub
cone it plays.
I'll switch them up anyways to make sure.

I've plug and played already with the speaker wire
and it does no good.

How old is the sub? Is it still under warrenty? Did you buy it from an authorized dealer? If so call up RF, and see what they can do...

Definately sounds like a bad sub. Did you check the tinsel leads to see if that is bad? If it's not, get ahold of RF and get yourself a new one.

yup look at the leads that go from the connection terminals on the sub inward, good bet one is fried, or cut, and is only making contact periodically, could be a bad V.C. too. hope you got a warranty
