I dont think you will find any subs that are thin enough and require little enough volume to fit under the seats in an Ex. Since you are wanting to do this I assume you want to keep all available cargo space, I would reccomend building a box to fit behind the panel in the rear passenger side - I think they fit there like in the 2nd gen Ex's ? - I put a 10 inch Polk DB in mine with an Alpine MPR-350 and it sounds great. You don't get the pounding bass like from 2 12s but I was surprised with how it sounded.. Definatly an improvement.

It can be done, I have seen a few have it, but it does require some serious modification to the back seat. Basically, they all had shallow mount subs and made risers for the seat mounting brackets. Not too much height was needed, maybe an extra 3" or so, but the more the better.

It is practically impossible with the stock room and a standard 12" woofer.

can a 12 inch sub fit in the cargo panels of a 98 sport? all ive seen are 10" subs and only on the right side

anybody know?

If you have seen 10s in the sport than thats what you want to go with. I have heard of ppl putting a 12" in the 4 doors, but I have never seen a pic of it done. I wouldnt imagine it works out very well. A good 10" will yeild you very satisfying results if you do it right. I love mine

I already have two kicker 12's from my previous vehicle and just trying to find a good place for them now

Maybe just build a wide narrow box so you have some floor space in the back.. Not much option since you need the air space for the woofers

thanks, Ive just decided to go with a standard box but wire it to the amp with an easy disconnecter so i can remove it without any trouble when i need the cargo space
