I have a 99 mounty and i was wondering if anyone has piut subvs under the back seats. I was going to gert some ascendant audio 8's and put them under there the mounting depth is 5 1/8. http://www.ascendantaudio.com/assassin8specs.html that is the link to the specs of the sub io was thinking of maybe getting three and putting them in there. I dont know if anyone has had any experience or not and if it worked but let me know if you can help. thanks

lets see now 45 bills or 400 a pop do you have to ask! you should be fine with the assas. 8s they look decent the only problem is you need to fold down your rear seats then take your measurement if you dont ever drop them then forget it also i looked at mine and dont see a way to have a single box. you would need two very thin and the next thing is air volume when you custom your box fill it with polyfill, cotton balls something like that, as small as it needs to be to fit under the rear seats i dont know if you could get your required .40 or not with a 8 " why do you want it under the seat just to hide it? i really doubt you could fit them and a amp under there theres a tread on here about putting it in the stock location but doing one 10" not two 8" it would be hidden and sound alot deeper than two 8s under the seat they would sound muffulled and not clear just my 2 cents good luck!

well i currently have an 18 in the back so....Yeah the seats going down would suck. Maybe this isnt a good idea.

just serch this forum and sweat that tread about the rear sub install it is what i did and it looks great is hidden best of all was cheap as i already had my subs used one not both, its not going to win any awards for deep bassssssssss but it wont be stolen the first time you park in a parking lot :fire: and it really does sound good good luck buddy!
