Subwoofer and amp placement

Ok I was thinking about installing a small subwoofer and an amp in an 05 sport trac. I've seen many people install them in boxes and just let them sit on top of the rear passenger seats. I still want to have the ability to carry people but also want a subwoofer and an amp installed, any ideas? Everything is appreciated thanks

Look at using 1 10" sub firing down under the rear seat on the passenger side, or you can have a sub fiberglassed in the compartment behind the rear seat where the jack is located. Also make sure you look at what kind of sub and how much power it needs which will make you look at the amp to push it. If you try to go big you will either need a big amp or big pockets to buy the small mono amps such as JL or ZSTAT.
