Subwoofer removal.

Hello, I'm trying to help my son upgrade his worn out stereo that he got from his step-dad. We can't get the subwoofer out. I figure if I can do that, I won't need to know what color wires to hook up, because I'll be able to see them myself. Does anyone know how to get the SUBWOOFER out of an Explorer Sport 2001? It appears to be the middle of the road version factory install with wizzer cone quality. We removed the panel and screws, but the speaker is still stuck in there.

I think you'll need to remove the whole panel on the rear to take the screw that holds it
