I was pulling a Chevy out of a ditch, halfway through I was in 4h and I seemed to lose 3/4 of my power, switched it to 2h and it still wouldn't even spin the tires. after a little bit the power came back.

Any ideas?

It would just rev up sounding like it was struggling.

There's a lot of variables, it could have been anything from engine electronics affecting output, to the electronic transfer case having issues, or outside factors like the angle the truck was at or the exhaust going into water.

Hard to know for sure without an idea of the shape of the truck or what's been maintained, but if you keep experiencing it, you should probably inspect all the usual maintenance items (air filter, intake, MAF, throttle body, FPR, EGR, spark plugs, wires, fuel filter, PCV, etc.) first.

And here I thought this thread was about marriage.

Ok, sorry. I'd look at fuel pressure. (Seems like that is pretty much my first answer to everything.) But, it seems like fuel pressure does come up a lot. If I had an open gauge position, I would probably make it a fuel pressure gauge.

Now, watch it end up being the spark plug wires.

Good Luck!
