It seems like my truck has lost some power over the last month. It's like I have to push down on the pedal harder to get it to go, and it still bogs down more than usual. Also, it idles a little rougher than normal.

I just changed the oil, the trans fluid was changed 3k miles ago. My spark plugs are due and I've ordered the plugs and wires but this doesn't seem like a problem that would have to do with spark plugs. I've come to the conclusion that it has to be something clogged up or something is sticking. I have suspicion that my drivers rear caliper might be sticking, but I'm still not convinced that this would make the pedal harder to push.

I know this could almost be anything. Do you guys think it's the TPS maybe? If someone else has had this problem please shed some light on this.

It wouldn't hurt to run some injector cleaner through the gas.....

Hartman,

I too had the same symptoms with bogging down. Turned out I had two fouled injectors. I replaced them all just in case since it didn't cost that much more in parts/labor.

Have a good shop check it out before R & R-ing lots of parts.

Good luck...

If your pedal feels sticky, I would definatly clean the TB....

No it's not sticky at all.

Stupid question: you sure it's not just the hot weather?

I don't think so, I've never noticed it before.

Could it be bad gas?

Yea I was thinking hot weather, here in AZ my X runs like crap during the summer when its 110.

Same here. My intake is worthless when its hot. But at night with cool air you can really tell.

I guess that could be but it hasn't been real hot here, only the mid 80s. It also seems to be action weird around 45-50 MPH. When I'm accelerating, I hit 45 MPH at 2500 RPM it'll sort of like jam into a gear and go up to 3200 and then go back down to a normal RPM. That doesn't happen all the time, just occasionally. Is that normal?

Well today the truck was running great. It seemed like the engine wasn't bogging at all and I could feel the torque on accel. I put some fuel injector cleaner in on Monday, maybe that cleared up my problems?

Seems to easy...

Yeah Hartman, it seems too easy. I posted one thread before saying I gain over 2 or 3 mpg by just using this. I know this for sure because I keep a log of my MPG religiously and I did not do any other changes before the increase.

I used this one, myself.

I've always used the STP kind. I'm sure they're all similar.
