My 2003 XLS 4.0L starting driving all f'd up today. Got these codes:

P0113 Generic Intake Air Temperature Sensor 1 Circuit High Input.
P0118 Generic Engine Coolant Temperature Circuit High Input.
P0123 Generic Throttle/Pedal Position Sensor A Circuit High Input.
P0452 Generic Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch Low Input.
P0453 Generic Evaporative Emission System Pressure Sensor/Switch High Input.
P0708 Generic Transmission Range Sensor Circuit High Input.

I would tend to think electrical issue. Anyone have any ideas?

Definately an electrical issue. If you hvae access to wiring diagrams, check to see what is common with all these components. Possibly just a loose ground connection, or a loose connector somewhere.

I just ordered a CD FSM today, so I should have it in a few days. I did a search and actually found a few threads that had similar problems, but nobody posted the end result. One member stated he changed the DPFE and the one he installed must have been no good. He disconnected it, and problem solved so he replaced it. I may try that today.

I recently changed my DPFE Sensor. Mine was throwing P0401. I got it at AutoZone for around $40. It took me about 2 minutes to change with no tools required. Just remove the electrical connector and pull it off the 2 rubber hoses, it's not screwed or bolted to anything. Location with the V6 is on the passenger's side at the firewall (see pics below).

Here is a scan from my Haynes Manual:

check fuses.

Thanks everyone, I found the problem. I drove it like this for about 45 miles today, stopped at the parts store, and it wouldn't start 5 minutes later. I opened the hod and started to check the tps connection (that's one of the first codes that comes back), and just before the tps connector, the loom was resting against the egr tube. The loom meted and the wires shorted against it. I moved it off the tube, started it right up, and drove home with no more issues.
