I would like to update the brakes. What is the best way to go? Do I need to replace rotors? Calipers? Both? Where do I get it?

Possible ideas:

aftermarket slotted rotors
high performance pads
flush brake fluid use synthetic fluid

Good luck ..........

In addition to what Al said, another option is: Find a rear axle that has disc brakes on it, such as from a 2nd gen. That is imo, the #1 brake upgrade for 1st gens. My friend did it to his 93 XLT and wow does that thing stop.

You'll want a master cyl from a 4-wheel disc truck too, if you do that upgrade.

Thanks!!! Getting that stuff should not be too hard. One of my firends runs a wrecking yard.
