Sunroof installation.

hi I was watching utube and this guy goes to a bone yard takes a full sun roof out of a mini van and puts it in his Chevy. Just an idea for you tinkers. Drop a Lincoln moon roof in a aerostar or a hond in your explorer. If the shoe fits why not wear it.

id like to sunroof my van but the ridges on top make that difficult.i liked the video other than the bad grammer and awful music.i would have edited out the first wrong cut.i also would have fitted it with the glass in.glass doesn't bend.if the frame had gotten warped while installation the glass wouldn't fit.also the general shape of the roof would need to be the same.i did like how it turned out.

Yes I wouldn't have welded it. I asked him if he ever heard of 3m frame sealer. 80% of all new Camaro and other new cars hat bond aluminum to steel use this black rat type sealer. I'm thinking the ridge wouldn't he hard your only talking 4 inch max around the roof a dolly would straight that out. I'm looking at building a pop top for my aerostate and turn it into a Ford Westi live vw did . These vans are very close to size and 90% of those vw are rwd. Vw only made 5 years of 4x4 vans and that was only about 5,000. Total so I'm on a path with my awd.
