Maybe there's someone on the threads that can help me. I recently installed a sunroof wind deflector on my Explorer and since then whenever I reach 60mph and above it starts to whistle. My first thought is that maybe the sharp edge of the deflector that hangs over the sunroof window is causing wind turbulance and inturn whistling. Is that a viable reason? What else could be maing my deflector whistle? Could I simply shave off the sharp edge and smooth it out? I know this is a minor issue but it is extemely annoying non-the-less. Thanks is advance.

I have one of those also. It sounds like wind is getting through the seal that the sticky-back tape is supposed to create. Check all the points where the deflector attaches to the roof for holes/air leaks. If you find where the air is getting through push the deflector down some more to strengthen the seal, or stick a small piece of double sided tape in there to seal the hole. Hope this helps.

Thanks!! I'll give that a try. I in fact do have minor gaps (where the roof ridges meet the deflector mounting surface) that I'll try and seal. Thank You again.
