Okay Guys,

Here's your chance to get a Supercharger Crank Pulley for
your '96-'01 5.0L Explorer.

I'm having ASP Racing make me a custom sc pulley next week.

They will have the specs from my pulley.
You will need to send them a '96-'01 5.0L Explorer pulley/balancer
so they can machine the face to make a clean/flat contact point and
drill the mounting holes (I used Dorman 594-155).

Now here's where some might get their panties in a bunch.
The cost is around $325, that does not included shipping.

If you want one made call ASP racing Tech Line 19368253117

HTH, :biggthump

I don't know how long or if they will keep the specs after mine is done.

I would like to hear what you guys think.

What sc are you using?

94-95 Mustang Vortech, with a modified mounting bracket and discharge tubing.

I'd love to see pics also.
Are you going to be forced to relocate the rad forward?

Hope not,
The Powerdyne 6 rib crank pulley fit without issues.
(back in day when that system was available)
1/4" more for 8 rib pulley shouldn't make that much of a difference.

I thought there was major differences between a Mustang and Explorer belt accessories. I thought one was much farther forward but I don't know

I'm going to follow Powerdyne's manual for all the little stuff that needs to be moved and relocated.
Then follow Vortech's manual for the mounting (modified bracket) for the charger unit.

PCV Bypass Kit 4FA139-096 Installation Instruction
Remove the crankcase vent hose from between valve cover oil filler and throttle body.
Clamp a rubber cap onto the vent fitting on the throttle body.
Route the 3/8" PCV hose from the valve cover oil filler to the supercharger inlet elbow fitting, trim hose if necessary. (May need to install fitting on supercharger inlet elbow)
(Note: The engine valve cover vent MUST be properly baffled or else the supercharger may pull in oil from the engine).

Mounting Bracket 4FG011-021 Modification
Remove ~ 1/8” from the 4 mounting bosses on the rear of the mounting bracket (4FG011-021).

Discharge Tube 4FA012-020 Modification
Loosen Allen head cap screws /clamps where they bolt the volute on the supercharger.
Mount supercharger onto previously installed main bracket and supercharging mounting plate.
Butt the Discharge Tube to the throttle body opening, rotate volute until discharge outlet on the volute lines up with the Discharge Tube inlet.
Over lay the Discharge Tube between the throttle body and the discharge outlet. Mark the Discharge Tube.
Cut the Discharge Tube to the angle previously marked.
Snug down the Allen head cap screws /clamps so the volute cannot move.
Remove the supercharger and tighten the Allen head cap screws /clamps.
Reinstall the supercharger and secure with four (4) 3/8-16 x 1" bolts and AN washers.

I would think a MP112 would make more sense give the RPM these trucks are driven at.

Reference: I put a Novi 2k on a 3.8L swapping out the MP90 (Pontiac). I regret that and should of stuck with an increased compression (9.5 vs 8) short block and roots type blower for daily driving. I also blew up the transmission twice...oops.

Yes...I'm digging up bones...anyone ever seen this completed?
