Looking for newer b style
I have been wondering if I should go with the superlift 5.5" suspension lift to accept 33" tire. I have heard good and bad things about superlift. I would just like to know if it is for me.

I use my ex as a dd and camping/towing. Although I like camping where no one else can get too. if you know what I mean. but I also don't plan to do as much rockcrawling as I most of you do. Although I like the mud and to get stuck (because if you didn't get it stuck you weren't pushing it hard enough). The reason why I want a suspension lift is the cross ditch that I see so often in BC trails.

Matteo

PS really like Matt Adams rig well done

This is my super lift 5.5 with 33-12.5's and it does everything it is supposed to do. I too needed it for the same kind of camping and wheeling you speak of and it is doing its job pretty good.

Oh and welcome to the site, there is a lot of good info here :)

I have heard that there is a Skyjacker 6" for the front, then people to a SOA in the rear. But its kinda hard to finda a place the sells the 6" for the 1st gen X. Also i have heard that people have had problems with the SL

Hvac thanks for replying to my post have you personally had many problems with this lift?? Partwise

I am completely satisfied with the quality of the lift and its parts. The only problem I had was getting it allinged. It is pretty easy to align once the springs settle in though. I now have almost 15,000 miles on the lift and have wheeled it hard and still no problems. I did not use the superlift brackets for the rear axle I had a ranger FX4 axle w/4.10:1 gears in it so I just swaped that in. I would do what a lot of people here do and weld new leaf spring perches on top of the axle. I have the superlift superrunner kit with the longer arms and I also used the superrunner steering. If you have any more Q's let me know and I can try and answer them or send you pics of my lift.

Clint

Thanks buddy pretty much all I wanted to know but I will be sure to send you a msg if I have any other questions

I have a 5.5-inch superlift on my X. I have had it for about a year. I am satisfied. Some other problems I ran into was radius arm bushings. They were not a problem before it was lifted, but had to be replacedafter the lift. I also got the reat brakes replaced after the lift. When adjusting the rear brakes the X needs to have the suspension compressed, because the addition suspension travel puts tension on the parking brake cable. Then adjusted brakes are out of adjustment.

It feels a lot different driving with the lift. So far I have been very pleased with the performance of the lift. Although the center of gravity is about 8-inches higher, It does not seem to be any more likely to roll.

I also had this problem but I built a drop bracket for the e-brake cable and it worked fine, no adjusting needed.

Pictures? and a write up? Or is it patent pending?

pics and write up from me? on what?

If I did the rear spring over, front superlift, and put on a 3" body lift, do you think 35's would fit?

Yeah forsure man with the superlift 5.5" you can fit 35s with some fender trimming but with a BL you could be able to fit 36" probably.

Just be sure to do the axle nut conversion with anything bigger than 33s

what site did you guys purchase all your superlift items from? or can you get a full kit somewhere
