Hi guys, having trouble finding the info on this site and superlift site...

I'm looking into getting the K494 4" lift kit for the 99 Sport...

http://www.superlift.com/Catalog.asp?P=k494#nogo

I'm guessing I don't need the 9637 part as it seems to be for the Sport Trac... would I be correct in my assumption?

From what i have learned about the superlift all you would need is part packages #9633 for the front and both #1147 and #01-194 (leaf springs).

I would say you are right with your assumption though.

Last time i had talked with them the front kit for the sport trac was due to the bigger brakes. but the kit i bought from a friend was a new updated kitthat had multiple mounting holes for the caliper brackets. so wen I called they told me they kept the site like that so no one got confused for you id just get the complete kit K494. if it helps i will take pics tomorrow at work.

sure, if that's no problem for you...

I just didn't wanna order too many parts and pay more on shipping and be left over with a pile of crap that I don't need... trying to do this on less than no budget...

I couldn't get a picture of mine covered in mud and all but here's what I'm talking about all the kits made from 07 and up I was told are like this.

If you're ordering one right now, you should probably be prepared to wait. Unless you manage to find a distributor that has one in stock, the kit has to be made. I ordered mine on December 15th from 4WheelParts.com and called last week to find out the status. Superlift had to make it, and they said four to six weeks. I would hope they did an actual run with a few kits, but they may have made just the one, I dunno.

So for those that plan to SOA the rear is all you need part #9633?

I think that kit is actually only shocks and related hardware. I don't believe you get the knuckles.

So which part number is needed just for the front (non-Sport Trac, no shocks)?

Ok i just read the site it looks like if you want just the front you need both the #9633 and the #9637

If you want to get technical you could look at the downloadable installation sheets and look at the parts list and match the part numbers with what i just posted.

nice one... the place we contacted said they had one in stock... but that was at the beginning of December
