SuperLift to make a 4

I was looking into perfoming a 3 inch Body lift on My 95 Explorer Sport and was calling around to see if anyone locally had ever done one. Of course I got "No" every place I checked. I then called a Local company here in Glen Burnie MD and he called around for me. He called me back and said that he had just spoke to SuperLift and they are in the process of developing a 4 inch lift for the 95-97 Ford Explorer. I was so excited that I had to verify the call myself. I called the SuperLift 800 number and talked to the Development Dept and they confirmed that they are (as we speak) making the Lift kit for the 95-97 Explorer and they expect it to be out within 6 months!!! Wooohoooooo Finially us 95-97 owners can get up with the big Dogs!!! Guess I'll wait the 6 months and see what happens. It won't get warmer till then anyhow!!!

Thats great news!!Maybe they saw this forum and finally got the hint, that there is a market and demand for it. Hopefully this application will fit 2wd's too, and hopefully it will come out in six months as promised (remember the trailmaster debacle). Let's keep our fingers crossed...

That is really great news!! I'm in Ruston LA less than 30 miles from Superlift's place over in Monroe. I went over there about a year ago and asked them about a lift for the 95's. I even offered my truck as the guinea pig for a 2wd version. He told me there was no market and they were not inteding to make a lift for it. I guess they changed their minds. Now I need to find the money I had stashed away....oh well, maybe next year.

Just talked to superlift

Hey all. I just got off the phone with a guy at superlift. He said that they have not even really started on working the 4" lift for the 95-97. He said that they should be starting it soon and it should be out this year but he don't know when. I don't know if this helps any. I am hoping to get it done to my truck too.

not to rain on anyone's parade, but just remember how long it took Trailmaster to get out their 98-00 4" kit. I think the response was "next month" for about 7 months

I hope one does come out though, it would be nice to see more lifted explorers.

It will be interesting to see how they deal with the torsion bars.
