Hello all,
I have a 95 EB Explorer that I bought from a local fellow who repairs wrecks. The truck has been wonderful up here in Michigan and has helped me through a lot of winters. The suspension however has never been correct. Ive just lived with it and now Its gotten so bad I dont feel safe driving it anymore.

When I hit a bump in the road it hops usually to the right and is very uncomfortable. I do not go off roading with this truck and its used primarily in the winter. Ive been driving it alot lately as Im having some work done on my other car.

One friend of mine says I need new shocks, another says I should lower the truck, yet another says I need new sway bars. Please forgive me, but I do not want to sink a lot of cash into my explorer. What should I do?
I just want it to feel safe and have a comfortable ride.

Get poly swaybar bushings and new shocks installed. try bilstien heavy duty shocks. ride and control will be restored.

Ok I talked to Mike from ORW who found the bilstein shocks you recommended. I asked him about bushings which he said that he carried but that I needed to tell him sizes and such.

I didnt understand what he meant by sizes or exactly what bushings I should replace. I measured the sway bars themselves and they are .778" dia in the back and 1.43" in the front.

Thanks for the help
