98 ranger ex-cab xlt
ok so ford didn't make one(yet) an i could not stand it so i have started to make my own.to start with a have a 98 ex cab,4.0L v6,5-speed,373-ls and my mods are 15inch rims and an SVT bag(im shot on cash for a month but then look out.i was at the track last weekend and i pulled a time of 16.87 on 225/75/15 its the only good run i had that day. i just put the SVT on the tailgate so do you think i can get 14.00s now that my truck is anSVT????on my 17.00s+i killed a 400BB GM and a 95 F150 short box,auto,5.0 and i killed him bad.on the want tonight i killed a 2000 chevy 1500 ls with the 5.3 aand i mean i killed him. what mods should i make now???? im not lowering the truck im just goting to make at run mid to low 15s i hope what do you think??

Not to knock you or anything, but if you are hitting the 1/4 in 16.87secs (best), you'll need good money to get you into the 14s. An exhaust (muffler/headers) and and intake will get you into the low 16s at best. Any all other available bolt ons (TB, MAS, Wires, Plugs, Pulleys) can get you into the Mid to low 15s. If you want to hit 14.0 at the track you may need to consider getting a NOS bottle and/or engine mods or supercharger.

I am fearful of taking my truck down to the track for fear of embarrasement. I'll probably wait til I have a bottle in the back before I make a trip down.

Ford did produce Ranger SVT's, just not the SVT we think of when associating it with the Mustang.
