Swap a A4LD for an 4R70W?

So one of my friends might have a hookup for a cheap 4R70W tranny. Now, I still have the old A4LD and its going out, so a good reliable replacement would be nice. My question is, how hard would it be to adapt one to fit behind the old 4.0L? Would it even work? I know a tranny controller would definitely be needed, but I didn't know how hard it would be to bolt up.

Won't fit unless you get an adapter if ones available. Another option is to throw in a V8 to get the 4R70W in your truck.

yea, i figured an adapter would be needed, i guess i'll see if one's available. I wanted the V8 out of the same truck, but I think it's already spoken for. Otherwise, I would seriously consider it.
