Swapping oil pan from 5.0 to 5.8?

Will an oilpan from the 5.0 in the 1997 explorer 2wd swap onto an early(1969-73) model 351W ?

nope. i 351w is wider at the bottom then a 302 (i think by about a 1/4 inch). as well, if memory serves me correct, i think the rear seal on a 351w is bigger as well. i ran into that problem when i swapped a 351w into my capri years ago.

this is correct, it won't fit. I tried to do this last year on my 351W build
