Sway Bar disconnect.
Do NOT REMOVE your front sway bar for highway travel! The bar significantly adds to the stability, therefore the safety and handling of the truck!.
Now for OFF ROAD only: many remove their swaybars while offroading, and reinstall them before returning to pavement. Since I know of no manufacturer that makes sway bar quick disconnects like the JKS for J**ps, several of us have custom
fabricated devices for quickly disconnecting and reconnecting the bars. Arsoul is totally correct. Disconnecting the bars does significantly increase articulation off road, allowing the wheels on both sides to be in contact with the ground more of the time, greatly improving traction. Remember, swaybars work by keeping the two wheels on the same end of the truck, moving up or down at the same time. This is great for smooth paved roads, but you need the wheels to be able to move independantly on uneven off pavement trails.
