It goes to 0 like normal when the car is off, then when i turn the key to on, it jumps to 3500 and I haven't even started it yet. Once running, it still stays at 3500, but moves slightly as I step on and off the gas.

Any suggestions? I'm thinking an electrical problem? Anyone had this before and have a fix?

Thanks!

Hmm, maybe unplug your battery for 30 mins, that will reset the computers, (or computer...lol idk) maybe that would work?

Meh...I don't feel like resetting my radio stations! haha
Just wondering if this has happened to anyone else.

i have same problem so i just got an aftermarket tach fo 30 bucks (didnt feel like replacing the cluster):p:

I have the same problem. I've lived with it for years. It's an automatic, so a tach doesn't really matter.
