ok ive looked like crazy but cant seem to find the right wire thats the "tach" wire

all the wiring diagrams say is "not the blue/white wires" from the ignition coil..

call me retarded but where exactly are the ignition coils?

(a pic would be awesome)

what type of auto start do you have? i have the code alarm which was installed by a "certified" installer as a side job...yr later my coil pack burns out cuz he wired the tach wire from the unit to the wrong wire on the coil pack...got lucky and found out some info about which one is the wire...i think the wire was pink/white off the coil pack harness but cant check till tomorrow ill get back to you on that...

i have an autopage rs-900 (it one of the 2way lcd ones)

right now its running on voltage check...but id like to do it by the tach wire bc it gets cold down here and the tachs more reliabe...

but yeah i keep hearing ignition pack and such but i dont know where those are

I took my tach from the ignition coil pack in the engine bay. I for got which wire it was, but it was real easy i took my meter and measured which wire had really low voltage (millivolts).

Do you remember the wire color you tapped? I plan to switch to tach sense also once I finally figure out the factory dis-arm issue I have when unlocking my doors by after-market remote!
