Turned on lights and had no dash lights but yet I did have head lights. Started for home and got pulled over! I knew I wasn't speeding! The officer said I had no tail lights or tag lights1 Is this just a fuse or is this something major? Please help I am trying to do more things on my own instead of running to a garage everytime something goes wrong. Thankx Coni

15 amp mini blade fuse in slot 3 of the fuse panel on the drivers side of the dashboard.

Could be headlight switch. Ck the wiring at the switch sometimes it melts and causes your symptoms.

another possibility is a bad ground. my old f150 had a bad ground. same symptoms u described. i went muddin one night and when i was in the mud hole i noticed my dash lights came on looked back and could see the glow from my tailights too stayed on the rest of the night. next mornin nothin. got to thinkin and came up with a loose ground wire. so i pulled a tail light spliced into the ground wire and grounded it to the frame, problem solved. hope u get it figured out.

Many years ago, GM put dash lights and taillights on same fuse so driver would know if tailight fuse went out. Don't know if they still do that, or if Ford does.
