taking longer to start

'94 XLT 4x4
untill latley after i drive for a while and then let my truck sit for an hour or two and try to start it back up again it takes two or three times longer turning over (i have to hold the key forward longer for it to start) any ideas on what this could be? other then that the truck runs great.

Check your fuel pressure and possibly replace the fuel filter if it hasn't been done in a while. Checking pressure is definately important so you can get a baseline and find out if the pressure is within specs.
 






Clean the MAF sensor, and check the ECT sensor. This chart is # 25 in my list of useful threads:

just replaced the ECT wasnt it but it runs a little better
