I am thinking its possible during shipping some grease inside the hub assembly flung onto the sensor and now it doesn't work. I'll take it out and inspect later tonight.
Mostly I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced any compatibility issues with these Timken hubs, I have only heard good things about Timken....
I have had one with bad whip right out of the box. New does not mean good. Try to see if old whip will fit in new hub and try that. Whip ='s ABS sensor,
If you were to drive the truck with the old bearing the abs light would go off then. Timken has at least a 1 year warranty so take it back where you got it and exchange it.

The old wheel speed sensor did not fit into the Timken hub. I removed the new hub and put the old back in, which turns out was not bad anyways. I will be returning the Timken hub and will have to continue investigating my vibration issue.
I am fairly confident it is within the front differential.
Thanks for the help
*Just to confirm for future searchers. The old hub when plugged in did turn off the traction control light immediately, however the ABS light remained lit until I drove it a short distance.
yup ABS light goes out when you drive the truck, and not just by starting it up.
i found that out when i replaced my drivers wheel bearing couple years ago.
