Well, I thought I would save some money by going with the Trailmaster kit as opposed to the Superlift kit, a $600.00 differance in price, but if I were to do it all over again, and the RCD kit wasn't available, I would go with the Superlift kit instead. I don't like the steering slide and that is the biggest problem Trailmaster has, other then they didn't give me all the right pieces and their paint is crummy. I was thinking about getting the steering knuckles from Superlift, but they won't sell me just the steering knuckles. I have to buy the whole front portion of the lift. =$1K. I am now just thinking about waiting for RCD to come out with the Ranger Coilover and buying that and getting rid of the damn torsion bars all together and this in my opinion is a really hot setup.
Do yourself a favor and get a kit that replaces the steering knuckles. I know they're not cheap, but in the long run you will be alot more satisfied. You have to realize that this is an expensive hobby, and alot of us have spent more money then we should have if we had thought about what we were doing first. There are products that are coming out on the market (RCD coil over) that are of significant importance and are really what we who want to do some serious off roading want. I know that the price is gonna be on the high side, but if you buy a lift kit and end up not liking it (like me) you will end up buying another one and spend alot more money in the lng run. Don't take me wrong, I am getting alot us use out of my Trailmaste kit, but it is not sufficient enough for my needs. If you are just going to do moderate trails, a Trailmaster kit will work no doubt. If you are serious about wheeling and want to do the rated 4 trails, then you need something better. You will also have to replace your front drive shaft.
Trailmaster Ranger kit $1300.00
Skyjacker 4" lifted spring $340.00
New front Drive shaft $320.00
2" Body lift $71.00
