Do the sensors match, thread wise? If so, I’d take the sensor to the hardware store and match it up to something there.

Something is absolutely the right size. Are these pipe tap threads, like an 1/8 NPT?

Quick googling says 3/8 pipe tap.

Well i check all the spots said its 5/8 but wrong pitch so i looked and looked for like an hr by eye comparing and couldnt find anything but it could as well be metric i got a haynes manuel cant find anything on size im just stuck and not sure what do guess i can go and look some more but it dont seem to be a normal thread pitch and maybe they are

Well i looked for and hour it fit in 5/8 but threads where wrong ...could as well be metric ..which i didnt understand that it saying 3/8 i measured it at 5/8. Im just stuck and dont know what to do next lol really frustrating and could be pipe threads sizes never thought of that

I see that now ..but now i guess to find a insert that big and not 3\8 unc thanks alot

Pipe tap threads are completely different. You need a tap that’s 3/8 NPT or NPS (national pipe taper, or national pipe straight). I’d assume these are tapered threads.

Yea pretty sure it is ...really was in front of my face guess just needed to talk it out was confusing myself and yea im just going up to next size and getting adapter to the 3/8 that 18 pitch looking at inserts gets up there for price 3/8 16 pitch npt cheap all day lol thanks again

Usable info. a 3/8-npt (National Pipe Thread) part is actually ABOUT 5/8-inch diameter across the threads (male), and the length of the threaded portion is TAPERED. Reason 3/8-pipe is so big is the 3/8 relates to the inside diameter of 3/8-inch standard steel pipe.

More confusion: Copper pipe works differently. Flexible, bendable copper tubing is normally called out by it's outside diameter. This allows for use of several wall thicknesses relating to strength. Copper sweat fittings (solderable) are made generally in straight lengths, starting with 3/8 inch outside diameter and up. Such pipe is not designed to be bent.
