Their has been a lot of talking about the tempature of the coolant.. I have had my douts about the gage my self.

heres what I did :
I have changed the coolant and fushed the system, then changed the thermostat, and a new radator.I also changed both of the sensors ( one for the computer and the one for the gauge) oh and I replaced the fan clutch too..

BUT the temp on the gauge is still high to me !! ( its on the m on "normal " ).. SO I placed a temp gauge on the radator and to my amazement the temp did not go pass 195.

so for the people that have resavation about the temp. I wouldn't worry too much. The gauge thats in the truck is a little hyper..

Just my thought on the matter and I hope it help

Gee I hope you are right. I did the same thing, changed out the radiator, tstat, hoses. No luck my rides between the A & the L after it warms up. Sometimes it goes all the way hot and drops all the way cold, this only occurs when the engine is not up to full temp. Is there anyway to test the guage? I am ready to change the waterpump & clutch.

I had the sane problem you had it was do to a clod radiator. from that i replace all hose thermostat and radiator. The one thing that i can prbably tell you guys it might be the water pump. that the only thing that you guys have change. From all my work the temperature never get mid way pass N in (normal) .
