2005 explorer xlt gauge only raises to just above C. Replaced temp sensor, no change. Wires look fine, blows great heat. Any ideas? Thanks.

Welcome to the site.

Have you hooked up a scanner to see what the temp reads? Is it excessively cold outside right now? Did you replace the correct sensor? ( there are 2 on the t-stat housing, one for gage, one for PCM). If it's a 4.0L.

Temp reads fine, 37 degrees outside, and motocraft sensor. There is only one sensor on housing, 4.0 2005 xlt.
