temperture gauge doesn't work

You sure it doesnt work? Its pretty common to have a bad thermostat, which would cause what you may think is a guage problem.

how could i check in on that?

i dont know if its the gauge for sure.. i just know the gauge doesn't do anything

If you don't see any activity on the gauge at all, then it sounds like either a disconnected sender or a bad sender. This sounds like a job for a manual and a Digital Meter. Don't start swapping parts, start with seeing if the wire popped off the sender. These things rarely go out.
