To all that provide the helpful info:

Thanks a bunch. My 4x4 control switches would not respond to the dash buttons, and no dashboard lights would come on - the whole system was dead. Seemed to coincide with a battery replacement.

Followed what the smart guys said here, ordered the 4x4 CM, got on line at a good discount under retail, installed tonight in about 10 minutes, including the time to disconnect and reconnect the battery - simple.

Now it all works as new - my thanks to all. Saved me time (time is precious to me) and money.

To the owners/operators of this site, I will be making a donation.

Next weekend I intend to tackle the rear (auxiliary) heat/AC blend door actuator motor replacement. Again, using info I got off of this site.
